Our ultimate goal must be to bring back wildlife population to sustainable levels, where we can benefit in ways we've never known and protect and perpetuate our humble traditions again. (There must be a little qualification here: Sagada's tradition of massive bird-killing during the migration of birds from the Saharan winter is more of a harmful tradition than a sustainable one because the method used to trap birds alarmingly resembles a finely-meshed seine.)
